WSC 2014 - Tournament Rules
- Matches of the Women's Soccer Cup shall be played according to the official FIFA rules.
- Two half times shall be played 45 minutes each. The referee determines the duration of the half time break.
- Within both groups, each team plays against each other. After each group match, teams perform kicks from the penalty spot so that their rankings can be determined in case some or all of the teams have fully identical achievements at the end of the group stage.
- Three (3) points go for a win, one (1) point goes for a draw, zero (0) points go for a loss.
- Rankings within a group shall be determined in the following order:
- number of points achieved
- summarized goal difference
- number of goals scored
- results of kicks from penalty spot
- lot - Teams ranked 3rd in their respective groups shall play for place 3, teams ranked 2nd in their respective groups shall play for place 3, and group winners shall play for the tournament winner title.
- There is no extra time in playoff matches. In case of draw, kicks are performed from the penalty spot.
- Players nominated for a match can be substituted during a match forth and back, without any limitations at all.
- A player sent off after two cautions with yellow card or directly with a red card are not allowed to play on in the actual match, but are allowed in the next one (yellow cards shall be annulated). A player with heavily unfair behavior might be excluded from the tournament.
